Malcapuya Island near to Culion Island, is a popular island to visit as part of an island hopping tour from Coron town in Busuanga. This island paradise boasts powdery white sand beaches, crystal clear waters, and plenty of marine life - perfect for snorkeling. You have the chance to see turtles and perhaps baby Black tip sharks if you are lucky. Though they are very timid and will escape any disturbance from people splashing or swimming.
There's no accommodation on the small island, so most only visit as part of a day tour.
Malcapuya Island is known for its powdery white sand beaches that stretch along its coastline. The fine sand feels soft underfoot and is great for sunbathing or building sandcastles. In addition to the white sand shoreline, there are also rocky areas and reefs close to the shore which provide fantastic opportunities for snorkeling and diving enthusiasts. If you find a quieter spot away from other tourists you'll have a better chance of spotting turtles and baby Black tip sharks.

Diving: For more experienced underwater enthusiasts, diving excursions are available around Malcapuya Island. Dive shops offer guided tours to popular dive sites where you can witness various types of coral formations teeming with vibrant marine life.
Island hopping: Take advantage of your time on this picturesque island by exploring other nearby islands such as Banana Island and Bulog Dos Island. These islands offer their own unique attractions including beautiful beaches and interesting rock formations.
Swimming: The calm waters surrounding Malcapuya Island make it perfect for swimming or simply floating in the gentle waves while soaking up some sun.

Windsports: During the Amihan season from November until April the north-easterly winds are good for kitesurfing, windsurfing and wing foiling. Though you'll have to bring your own gear.

However, you can find various accommodations options on nearby Coron Town, which is a short boat ride away from Malcapuya Island. Some popular options in Coron include Two Seasons Coron Bayside Hotel, Sophia's Garden Resort, and Sunlight Guest Hotel.
For a convenient base from which to explore Malcapuya Island and the rest of the Calamian Group of Islands, consider staying in Coron Town. This bustling town offers a range of accommodations, dining options, and tour services that cater to tourists visiting the area. From here, you can easily arrange day trips or island hopping tours to Malcapuya Island and other nearby destinations.
